Infertility in Africa has become a real public health issue, even if the authorities do not make it a priority. Between 15 and 30% of African couples have difficulty procreating.
Sub-Saharan Africa is the area of the world with the highest birth rate, but paradoxically it is also the one affected by the highest rate of infertility. 15 to 30% of couples would be affected by this problem against 5 to 10% of couples in the rest of the world.
